If you’re very pregnant right now…
Then you might very much be experiencing that added swelling and even tingling of the extremities!
Swelling is caused by your body holding more water than usual when you’re pregnant.
Throughout the day the extra water tends to gather in the lowest parts of the body, especially if the weather is hot or you have been standing a lot. The pressure of your growing womb can also affect the blood flow in your legs.
So here’s what you can do:
💗 Prop your feet up as much as you can, and hydrate! Hydration and relaxation are key! We recommend at least 90-120 ounces of water a day if you’re pregnant! Even more, if you’re active!
💗 Ensure your hands are kept below your heart when relaxing or sleeping. If you have a tendency to have your arms up at your head or above your head, this can increase the swelling and numbing feelings.
💗 Fuel your body with trace minerals – you can actually pick some up at our office!
💗 Ensure your water has electrolytes in it – this allows for the water to essentially go into the right places! We’re talking: sodium, potassium magnesium are the big ones – we have some products to recommend at our office too!
And of course, enjoy that sunshine, but if you find yourself struggling, try to stay cool in the shade or cooler conditions if you can!
