What does consent and understanding look like to you?
You want understanding, rather than ignorance.
You want consent.
What has fully informed consent looked like for you?
Is it receiving answers to every question you may ask, about things like breastfeeding, the labor process, or the health of your baby?
Is it getting the choice in accepting different forms of care?
Is it always being asked if you can be examined, or if your belly can be touched?
If that is your form of consent, I’m here to tell you that you won’t always receive it if you go the traditional route. And this isn’t anyone’s fault – hospitals are so vast and there are protocols in place; it’s not always going to be personal for you.
You are a person. You are different from other expectant mothers. No two are alike.
So you deserve care that’s just like you. You deserve someone who’s there truly for you.
As a midwife, my life is devoted to providing the best, most personalized care for each and every one of my clients.
Care that doesn’t cut corners, answers questions, and is personal. That’s truly what I try to do every day that I go and be a midwife.
My Midwifery Care Package boasts all the things that I promise to you…
Prenatally:
🌼Schedule an initial prenatal visit and subsequent visits, one visit per month until 33 weeks, then every 2 weeks until 37 weeks, then weekly until your birth, so that you always are in the know with your baby’s health.
🌼Document and maintain accurate records of care, history, visits and tests, and any referrals or suggestions, so that there is transparency during all aspects of pregnancy.
🌼Provide physical, mental, and emotional support to couple when possible, referring any serious conditions, so that you know that you always have access to help.
DURING BIRTH:
🌼Be available by phone 24 hours a day from 37 weeks on, so that you and I are on the same page.
🌼Monitor labor, assess vital signs of mom and baby, and provide labor support, so that you are secure during the process.
🌼Provide a newborn exam of your baby, so you can be comforted in knowing that your baby is healthy.
DURING BIRTH:
Postpartum:
🌼Visit you in your home around 24 hours after birth and again at around 2 weeks postpartum, so that you are confident in knowing everything is going well.
🌼Be available by phone and text for any needs that may arise, so that you always feel heard, and worry-free.
🌼Provide a 6 week appointment if requested or if further assessment is necessary, so that I can put any worries to rest and get you on the way to a happy and healthy pregnancy.
If you’re searching for a personal birth package with a care provider that truly is there for you and your baby, you have come to the right place. I promise to laugh with you, cry with you, and be there for you to answer anything that crosses your mind.
