““I feel like we aren’t being as proactive with this baby as we were with the first”
My husband voiced his concerns to me as we set off on a family weekend road trip – it always seems like the best time to chat through things that have been on our minds….”
Every week we share a page from our clients’ life pages that they happily share with us to share with you! (That’s a lot of shares 😄).
Are you one of our mamas and want to share your story with other moms and inspire them with your experience leading up to your home birth? PM us with your notes in a day of, and we’ll happily share them! In the meantime, here’s the rest of this week’s journal entry from one of our mamas!
“During the first pregnancy, we looked at our apps each week, telling us the approximate vegetable or fruit the baby could be compared to, read our books, and went out of our way to incorporate the baby into every conversation.
With this pregnancy, we talk about the baby, of course, but our lives revolve mostly around our son and surviving the toddler stage. I know the baby is there with every swift kick to my ribs, but I realized (once again) that without my husband growing the human inside him, he can easily feel left out of the process.
Right then I vowed to make more of an effort to tell him how our baby was doing and making me feel each day. I brought out my old pregnancy books and even ordered some new ones – because we really don’t know everything there is about birth, even if we have already gone through it once (or twice, or more).”
